The shop counter from a decommissioned Haberdashery. Could you ever find a more practical and wonderful shop counter.. or as it turn out, Kitchen Island? The sizing for this beautiful counter would make it perfect for storing working materials, crockery, table cloths, napkins, baking trays, serving dishes and glasses. The configuration is almost identical to our own kitchen island.. which is immensely practical. You may even choose to put a secondary worktop over the top with am overhang one side so you can sit at it on stools... exactly as we have our own kitchen island !! This is enormously heavy and very solid. The drawers have the original cup handles. All run smoothly and are ready to use as is. Rustic, characterful and quite unique.
