Item Description
A substantially tall and wide, split plate mirror which is around 200 years old.
Very imposing in appearance, the frame is gilded with some beautiful red bole showing through, there is some spot foxing to the mirror plate, and the backing panels are all intact.
This 'split plate' mirror was produced in the era before the industrialisation of glass production.
Priced 'as is', there are some knocks to the frame and scratches to the glass, all commensurate with age and use.
This is a superb mirror and rare to find. We sourced this from a residence in Paris.
