Early 20th century papier mache Passe Boule fairground target panel
A section pine backed, papier mache front hand painted early 20th century fairground/carnival French amusement target / passe boule. This rare form of a spaniel dog is holding a large musical tambourine. People would try and throw a small wooden or rubber ball through the hole in the centre of the panel to get a prize.
Size in inches: H 33” x W 19” x D 6”

Material: Pine and papier mache
Item Condition
A worn authentic fairground artifact, the object is firmly in place however the pine base is away from the top head section. This item doesn’t stand alone, and the painted surface and paper is worn in sections as shown in the photos provided. The right-hand side eye is missing also leaving a hole.
