Item Description
A half pint size Vitreous Ironstone Pottery Cream Jug that originally came from The Black Boy Hotel, Nottingham. A hotel / coaching inn which thrived in the centre of Nottingham for around 300 years. An extremely beautiful building that was sadly lost to demolition in 1969. The jug was made by Dunn Bennett & Co, Burslem and dates to April 1964. The crest on the jug reads Vivit Post Funera Virtues (or Virtue Lives On After Death). This is such a beautiful little jug which could still be used as a cream jug or just a lovely little display piece or small vase. For its age & use history it is in good overall condition. Its hopefully of interest to someone out there? Free UK inland tracked delivery, will be packed well.
