Wednesday 19th May 1976 is when George Ottewell made this fantastic large goblet jardiniere by hand. Skegness Pottery was opened by George Ottewell in 1975 at Pountney's Garage on Burgh Road, Skegness. This large goblet shape jardiniere was most likely a one off made for studio display purposes only. Most items of Skegness Pottery are quite small pieces. This item measures a whopping 18 inches in height with a top diameter of 11 inches & weighs 10kg. Last image shows a small edge knick but otherwise it is in fantastic condition.
