Skilfully hand forged early 19th century highly ornate wrought iron toasting fork or flesh fork. Spanish or Basque region in origin. Length 26.5 inches & just under a one kilo in weight. Twisted handle tip with a top hoop hanging eye leading to a widened petal detailed hand grip above two beautiful tiers of highly decorative scroll work ending in a three prong fork being 3.5 inches in width with the tines 4.5 inches in length. In very good condition with its original surface.
