Item Description
You can't beat the feel of these gorgeous turn of the century linen sheets; they've been laundered for 100 years and feel so smooth. The fabric has a lovely character to it with little slubs in the weave and of course it drapes beautifully for curtains or blinds. Or can of course be used as a sheet, the fabric is comfortable.
This sheet dates to around 1900-1920 and was woven on a narrow loom, hence the traditional hand stitched centre seam. Simple machine turned hems and a beautiful hand worked large monogram of the letters JH.
A gorgeous tablecloth or bed cover. Just masses of really useful lovely linen! Colour is a pale beige/putty-white.
This sheet has been used but has no damage or thin patches. It has no marks to mention, it's freshly laundered and ready to go. (As always with an antique or vintage piece, there may be a tiny little nick or imperfection that we haven't spotted.)
