Item Description
A late 19th century beechwood breadboard. This is carved with “Bread” in a Gothic style script and the rest of the border is carved with small flowers and chip carved, stylised leaves. It dates from c.1890. There is general wear to the board and there are quite extensive knife marks to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use. There is also a small burn mark to the face of the board and a larger burn to the reverse.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 2cm.
