Item Description
An early 19th century, blue and white, transfer printed soup plate. This is marked, to the reverse, “STEVENSON & WILLIAMS COBRIDGE STAFFORDSHIRE” within a ribbon cartouche, and it dates from c.1825. This was a short lived partnership between Ralph Stevenson and Aldborough Lloyd Williams. The partnership is not listed in directories but it is mentioned in a mortgage deed of 1825. The print has a central beehive surrounded by large floral cartouches and vases of flowers. It is a beautifully detailed print and the piece is in excellent condition.
We have two of these in stock. They are both in the same condition but they vary very marginally in size.
Dimensions: Diameter 25cm. Depth 3.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
