Item Description
An early 20th century, brass and steel milliners iron in the shape of a leaf. This is stamped, on both the steel and the brass sections, “W.BICK”. This would be the makers mark and it dates from c.1910. They are also stamped with the number “205”. It would have been used to make small flowers from lace, silk or felt, to decorate hats. The iron is in very good condition but there is a large split in the wooden handle.
Dimensions when the two parts are together: Length 19cm. Width 5.8cm. Depth 4cm.
