Item Description
An early 20th century, Brown and Polson’s blanc-mange mould. This is marked, in black transfer print, with an anagram of “BP” around an anchor, above “MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. The exterior of the mould is decorated with a black transfer print of a recipe to make blanc-mange and the interior is quite a simple, fluted shape, with a small flower to the top, which would turn out very easily. There is a very tiny chip to the rim and a fine, glaze crack runs from that, but it is still in usable condition. There is also very slight staining to the glaze.
