Item Description
A nineteenth century, French copper salmon kettle. This is stamped with a number “50” which relates the internal length of the pan in centimetres. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and has castellated seams around the base and up both ends. There are attractively shaped, brass handles to either end and the rim is rolled. Originally this would have had a drainer and a lid but, as these are now missing, it would make an excellent jardiniere for a number of small pots, on a windowsill or down the centre of a table. It is in excellent condition but the tinning to the interior is worn.
