Item Description
A lovely quality, early 19th century, copper jug. This is French and it dates from c.1820. The way that it is made is quite interesting as it is made from a number of small sheets of copper which are brased together with castellated seams. There is a seam around the centre of the jug, another around the neck, and the foot is applied separately. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height 23.5cm. Width 19cm. Diameter 15.6cm.
