Item Description
A nineteenth century, English copper mould in the shape of a cardoon. This is made from quite a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1890. The stylised leaf shapes, which culminate in small domes to the top, are designed to resemble a cardoon. There are two very small repairs to this mould, one to the top of a leaf and one to the top of a dome, but they are not visible on the exterior. They show as small areas of tin on the interior.
Dimensions: Length 17.2cm. Width 11.4cm. Height 12.4cm.
