Item Description
A nineteenth century, copper sugar spinner with a carved oak handle. This would have been used for working caramelised sugar into fancy baskets, or nests, as sugar decorations. The divider down the centre allows for two different colours, or caramelisations, of sugar to be worked together. It is French and dates from c.1880. There is slight pitting to the copper, and there is a burn to the handle, both from use.
Dimensions: Length 30.6cm. Width 14.5cm. Depth 5.5cm.
