Item Description
A rare, fruitwood sugar or gesso mould carved with a shield. This shield is deeply carved with crossed flags and an anchor and, to the top, there are three bombs. The crossed flags and anchor is similar to the emblem of the Royal Navy but I couldn’t find the emblem in this exact form. This is a very interesting, super quality piece and it dates from c.1840. There is a crack across the back of the mould but it doesn’t go right through. Otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height 13.5cm. Width 12.5cm. Depth 3.8cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
