Item Description
A very heavy, 19th century, French copper, circular casserole. This is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper, it has castellated seams and it dates from c.1860. It has nicely shaped, brass handles to the lid and the sides of the pan. The base of the pan is slightly domed so it would work well on gas but not so well on a ceramic hob or a solid range cooker. There is also slight marking to the copper. Otherwise it is in good condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Height of pot 19.8cm. Diameter 34.5cm. Width across the handles 45.5cm. Overall height including the handle 23cm.
