Item Description
A very unusual, large, 19th century, English copper wash bowl and jug. The jug is marked, to the base, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has a castellated seam up the side. The shape is very elegant and it dates from c.1870. The bowl is simple in form, with a rounded base, and originally it probably sat into a wash stand. Both the jug and bowl are in excellent condition.
