Item Description
A large, 19th century, French copper mould with a central pipe. This is marked with the cockerel symbol used by Letang, beneath a pattern number “252”. Beneath the cockerel is a large letter “S” which would probably be the initial of the original owner. The mould is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of alternating large and small columns above a wide, plain base. There are some very minor dents to the plain base but otherwise the mould is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions: Diameter 17cm. Height 13cm.
