Item Description
An early 19th century, green majolica glazed plate. This has an impressed mark “STEVENSON” which is the mark of Andrew Stevenson who worked from the Cobridge pottery from 1816 to 1830. The plate dates from c.1820. It is moulded with a design which combines flowers and scrolls against a basket weave background and this is then covered in a rich, dark green majolica glaze. There is slight crazing to the glaze but the plate is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 21.4cm. Depth 2.6cm.
