Item Description
An early 20th century, French copper gratin dish. This is made from quite a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1920. It has fixed brass handles to either end and it is stamped with a number “32” which relates to the length of the dish in centimetres. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used. This type of dish is ideal for a vegetable gratin, dauphinoise potatoes or a small piece of meat or fish. It can be used either on top of the stove or in the oven.
