Item Description
A life-size, pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a small squash. This size of ice cream mould, which would turn out a fruit in a life-size form, is uncommon and hard to find compared to the small versions. This example is marked, in the casting, with a pattern number "914" so it is probably by the French company Letang, and it dates from c.1880. It is also marked "S.G.D.G". It is in excellent condition. The interior is in good, bright, usable condition and the exterior has quite a dark, shiny patina.
