Item Description

A small, late 19th century, copper skimmer or fish slice. This is French and it dates from c.1890. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and the end of the handle is turned, resembling a shepherd’s crook, so that it can hang when not in use. There is very slight pitting to the copper, from use, and there is a brasing mark to the handle. This could be the way in which it was made or it could be a later repair.
Dimensions: Length 37.8cm. Width of skimmer 8cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.00
