Item Description
A small, 19th century, English copper saucepan. This pan is very interesting as it has engraved initials on the side but it is also dated. It is engraved “C.C” over “4” over “1839”. We often tend to think of this style of pan as dating from c.1860 to c.1890, however, this style of pan were made in the same way throughout the 19th century. It is well made, from quite a heavy ague of copper. It is generally in good condition although there is a split in the steel at the end on the handle on the lid.This could be from the manufacture. The pan has not been re-tinned and is not usable.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 10.5cm. Depth of pan 8cm. Overall length of pan and handle 20.8cm.
