Item Description
A very unusual, late 18th century fruitwood mould. This is English and dates from c.1790. The design resembles a staircase. We have recently had a number of sugar moulds which would have been used to form buildings out of hard sugar. If the purpose of this was similar, due to the dimensions, if it were a staircase it would have been part of a very large building. It is in excellent condition and the wood has a lovely patina.
Dimensions: Length 26.8cm. Width 10.4cm. Depth 1.7cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
