Item Description
A very unusual, 19th century, lidded copper bucket. This is well made, from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. It was possibly, originally, made for use as a water carrier on a train, as it is very stable, but it was not made for food use as it has never been tinned. The lid is hinged, and attached by flat, strap fittings, and there is a flat, strap form handle to the lid. Both the base, and the wide spout, are riveted on and the piece has a heavy, copper, folding handle. There is minor denting to the sides but otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height 35cm. Length across the handles 34.5cm. Width across the spout 31.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £25.
