Item Description
A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip butter dish and stand. Both the dish and the stand are marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and they date from c.1900. Both parts are also impressed with a letter “H”. The dish is decorated with a continuous band of classical figures, trees and foliage. To the lid are four small reliefs depicting cherubs or putti, and to the rim of the stand is a band of grapes and vines. All of the reliefs are good quality and all three parts are in very good condition. There is staining to the underside of the lid, from use.
