Item Description
This antique silver plated wedding cake stand is the absolute epitome of bygone elegance! The base is decorated with classical swagging upon which the plating has worn, showing the base metal beneath, standing on three cast feet. The original mirrored top is still in lovely condition with only some mild scratching consistant with use. This would have been used during the Victorian & Edwardian periods for wedding cakes or as a centrepiece to display food, candles or decorative pieces.
The underneath has signs of historical woodworm which is long gone but has been treated as a precaution. This is not visable when the stand is in use.
