Item Description
These stunning C19th chairs are in the Louis XV style with the original parcel-gilt finish against a painted stoney-grey paint, all beautifully and authentically weathered with age. They have elegant cabriole legs and a cartouche back topped with a well carved floral motif.
The grey upholstery is finished with brass domed tacks - the upholstery is not new and whilst being absolutely servicable, it does have some marks which could be professionally cleaned or you may prefer to upholster in your own choice of fabric. The frames of these chairs are heavy and very stable and the seats are well sprung and comfortable.
These are both hightly decorative and very useful pieces. C. 1870.
