Item Description

Cranberry glass is a reddish-pink glass made by adding gold salts or colloidal gold to molten glass, first made during the late Roman empire, but this skill was then lost. It was rediscovered by Bohemian glassmakers in the 17th century. Cranberry glass reached its height during Victorian England. These are clear stemmed cranberry glasses. These would have been used as part of a service as the white wine glass. We could use them now for water, wine or a port/liqueur glass. They are all hand blown and therefore slightly different.
