Item Description
A sophisticated large-scale abstract figurative painting, executed in a refined mid-century style with a palette of dusty mauve, soft cream, pale blue and muted yellow. The composition is constructed from simplified geometric forms and delicate linear mark-making, creating an elegant balance between abstraction and figuration.
Gentle layered brushwork and softened forms give the painting a quiet, atmospheric presence, while its calm tonal harmony lends itself particularly well to Scandinavian and modern interiors.
Originally painted on canvas, the work has been carefully mounted onto board for stability and is presented in a vintage Rowley style wooden frame. The artist’s indistinct signature was previously visible on the reverse of the canvas but was concealed during the mounting process.
