Item Description
A large Charles Meigh buff-coloured stoneware jug, circa 1840, moulded in high relief with the 'Bacchanalian Dance' pattern inspired by the paintings of Pouisin and Reubens.
Condition: Clean overall with no staining, small chip to the inner rim of the spout, hairlaine crack to the underside of edge of the base on one side, hairline crack around one side of the handle where it meets the body of the jug.
This jug can be found in three sizes, this being the largest.
30cm high.
