Item Description
"We fit Goodyear Stick-on-Soles" - this 1950s counter-card / sign is part of a series designed by Dickens for Goodyear, all featuring a very 'of the period' pin-up style lady in a shirt and high heeled shoes with the 'What pretty feet!' caption.
How well the advertising style has aged is a matter of opinion, what is a certainty is that the piece itself has aged fantastically well. In fact, it's about as good as you could hope to get. The original fold out stand and the alternative hanging string are both present and neither look to have been used. There's very slight wear to the outer edges of the piece but I'd speculate that it's never been used.
The piece measures 49cm wide x 36cm high.
