Item Description
Simple and striking. This 'Fire Exit' sign is hand painted on a thick piece of board.
Pieces like this are never easy to date, but this very much looks and feels like something from the 1960s, perhaps '70s.
It's been competently, though somewhat amateurishly painted which, for me at least, adds to the charms of this piece.
The sign can easily and securely be hung using the four original, counter-sunk mounting holes and displays well - potentially functional as well as decorative.
It measures 36cm high x 33cm wide.
