Item Description
A 19th century grocer's shop toleware tea canister. This example is unusual with its hexagonal faceted form. Original reddish-brown paintwork, and retaining most of its chinoiserie-inspired decoration. Brass manufacturers label to reverse - 'Bartlett & Son, Bristol'. In overall good condition with no holes or serious dents.
