1950’s Mid Century Rectangular Extending Dining Table. Superb practical piece of mid century furniture, a good size at 120cm length but easily extending to 220cm. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. The table is beautifully made with book matched teak timber for the top, edged in a beautiful lighter ash. The turned legs are very graceful and in turned teak as well. The mechanism is a traditional extending table style from the 1950’s where the extension panels just pull out and the central panel slides down to make a flat surface. A very practical, stable and beautiful table. Our workshop has gently restored the table bringing out the original colour but keepig the originality.
Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
