This surreal portrait depicts Spanish painter Daniel Sabater (1888-1951) surrounded by a series of curious figures, including nude, witch-like creatures standing on the subject's paintbrush. These bizarre images appear to be personifications of the artist's imagination, representing Sabater's well known fantastical and nightmarish imagery.
