Item Description
Style: A generously sized two over three chest of drawers, finished in original soft cream paint with later added dark green and burgundy accents, retaining its charming aged, worn patina. This sturdy piece adds a touch of style to any bedroom while providing ample space for clothing, blankets, or other essentials.
Story: The chest of drawers originated in the late 17th century when medieval wooden coffers were adapted with added drawers. In the 18th century they became ornate, crafted from mahogany or walnut with refined dovetail joints. Victorian versions were mass produced, with much curvier profiles and larger sizes.
