Item Description
An imposing mid 19th century walnut veneered Biedermeier style chest or console with a large single drawer.
Set on cabriole legs, with brass detailing, the piece is in fact in two sections; the drawer and frame sits on top of the curved base.
It has a wonderful patina throughout. We can fix this to make it one piece, should you wish.
With ornate brass handles and escutcheon. Sadly the key is missing.
Sourced from a chateau in Orleans, France.
