Item Description
Description: An original, quality English antique doorstop/porter. This fine example is in polished brass and was manufactured in the early 19th Century. The oval loop handle has a long stem and the base comprises of a stepped spherical shape, with a rounded base mould. Underneath is the original cast iron loading. A good heavy weight to this one.
Condition: Very good. The brass has been hand polished and is unlacquered, therefore a gentle polish occasional will be needed to maintain this level of shine. Some slight signs of wear from age and use, including some dings to the brass.
