Item Description
A lovely quality, early 19th century, Wedgwood black basalt vase. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1820. It is also impressed with a number ”5” which relates to the height in inches. It is sprig moulded with classical scenes to either side, one being the Three Graces and the other depicting a soldier and an angel with serpents on a pillar. There are also four different foliate bands. All of the reliefs are good quality and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 13cm. Diameter 7.2cm.
