Item Description
A pair of Wedgwood dark blue jasper dip candlesticks. These are marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and they date from c.1920. They are also impressed with a letter O and the number “5” which relates to their height in inches. Each candlestick is decorated, in white relief, with two different classical subjects, which include Pegasus and Venus and Cupid. To the base is a classical scroll and flower border and there are leaf borders to the sconces. Both candlesticks are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 12.5cm. Diameter at the base 10.7cm.
