Item Description
A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip, heart shaped trinket box. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It also has an impressed “O” which would be the workman’s mark. The lid is decorated, in white relief, with a scene depicting Cupid and Venus and around the edge is a border of roses. The box is decorated with four different scenes all involving putti at play or Cupid and these are divided by anthemion. It is in excellent condition, the reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a deep shade of blue.
Dimensions: Length 8cm. Width 7.2cm. Height 5cm.
