Item Description
Style: A charming and pretty pair of 19th century painted chairs, featuring cream-finished frames enriched with gilded accents and turquoise flourishes. The hallmark of these pieces is the ethereal, hand-painted forget-me-not detailing in delicate shades of pale turquoise and green. Both chairs are upholstered (they would have originally been caned) in a pale blue-green raw silk.
Please note: one chair appears to have an historic remedial repair to the side seat strut beneath the upholstery; this has been preserved in its original state to maintain the chair's integrity and is reflected in the price.
