Item Description
There's no doubt about it, these are absolutely stunning! A pair of traditional French square pillowcases in thick pure linen, entirely hand made and hand embroidered and unused; a rare find indeed. The intricate drawn thread work within the rose embroidery is superb.
Freshly laundered and ready for use; a couple of tiny marks but nothing to detract. The flap closure has come a little loose on one of the cases. You can just faintly see the "toile pur lin" marking along the selvedge on the inside of one of the cases; this will fade away completely in the next few washes.
In excellent condition, no damage or wear. Colour is a beautiful milky/antique white. These seem to only be made by hand, I can't find any machined seams/hems at all.
Laundered and ready for use.
