Item Description
Antique French pure linen chemise c1900 which I have hand block printed with a daisy design which meanders around the dress across the front and back. It is a charming traditional hand made piece with pretty lace to the neck and sleeves. The neck has two buttons as well as a drawstring which I have shown lightly gathered and below this is a monogram of the letters CB.
Wear it on a hot summer's day and you'll be so comfortable. Laundered and ready for use. No damage, no wear, just a beautiful antique French textile, waiting to shine.
The colour is a very pale putty and the block printed design is deep terracotta, mustard and olive. Machine wash gentle cycle, 30 or 40 degrees. You can wash at a hotter temperature, it won't effect the linen but the block print will start to fade. I have many of these chemises which I am happy to block print to order.
