Item Description
This is lovely soft linen metis - sturdy, of course, but smooth and comfortable to sleep under. A lovely creamy colour with a hand stitched monogram of the letters DF set above a satin stitch hem. Dating to the mid 20th century.
This sheet is heavy for its size and the linen drapes well, it'll make a good curtain, tablecloth, sofa throw or bed cover.
In excellent condition with no thinning, wear or damage. No marks that I can see.
Linen metis has been favoured by French housewives for generations as it is excellent quality, durable fabric. It is a linen weft and cotton warp - like a linen union.
