XL French Linen Sheet With Fabulous Decoration

This is a fabulous sheet - best part of 100 years old and yet it has not been used. But now its time has come, it'll be a wonderful sheet to sleep with, sweet dreams guaranteed I think!

The return features sections of intricately worked daisies and ladder work framing a beautiful monogram of the letters IH (I'm assuming this, as the others I found together are all IH). Of course, it could easily be JH or possibly JB. The centre of each daisy is created with drawn thread work.  And of course, if you can resist putting it on your bed, it would also make a fabulous curtain with the decoration turned over at the top and the linen billowing beneath.

A classy piece, unused and waiting to shine. These linen sheets from between the wars are such excellent quality - real heirloom pieces to be treasured. But also to be used, this fabric will last for decades. This piece has one of my favourite details - the bottom hem is finished with a drawn thread. Now sheets like this were not destined for homes where the lady of the house made her own bed so this lovely little detail would only have been seen by the maid. It is a sign of true quality.

An unused piece with no damage or wear, it is in excellent condition. The colour is a pale creamy beige. Although clearly unused I think this sheet has been laundered once or twice. No real marks so speak of.
