An oh so traditional hand made French white crochet cotton bedspread, once an essential part of a young French girl's trousseau. Not an easy find these days and certainly not as large as this, it'll work on a king size bed. It is made as one piece (rather than connected squares) and the design is covered with gorgeous three dimensional bobbles.
It would also make a fab table cover or sofa throw. It's very attractive and a charming home made piece.
For a piece of this age it in excellent condition and I can find no damage (if there is anything it'll be tiny). I haven't freshly laundered this but it has no marks to speak of.
