Item Description
A nineteenth century English copper jelly mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “76 A” and it dates from c.1880. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a heart. The design is quite simple, with fluted sides which lap over on the top to create a link effect. The mould is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it is in excellent condition. The tinning, to the interior, is quite grey but it could still be used.
Dimensions: Length 17.3cm. Width 10.5cm. Height 8.2cm.
